About the game
Clues from Orbit combines a world-map puzzle with a shrinking defense budget. The challenge is to identify one hidden city by interpreting real geographic evidence while keeping plausible locations protected.
The game uses 205 selected cities, six rounds and stored environmental datasets. It does not need an account, does not sell gameplay advantages, and has no placement countdown. Each new mission selects a target and builds a consistent sequence of clues.
The alien invasion is a fictional scenario for entertainment only. Geographic information and city positions are simplified and may contain errors; map boundaries do not express a political position. See the terms of use for the geographic-information disclaimer.
Why geography matters
Climate, coastline distance, elevation and population patterns are connected, but none is a shortcut to every answer. The game encourages players to compare explanations, revise assumptions and use several kinds of evidence together. The field guide explains the measurements.
